It’s time!

The past two weeks has been a hazy blur to me… and let me tell you why..

I had a meeting with my SV in mid-May. It was not a really fruitful meeting, but it certainly pushed me enough to catch up with my writing targets. I was told to submit my Chapter 2 within 2 weeks, and Chapter 3 by the end of June. I was so motivated after that meeting and started working like a mad woman… and then, as usual, once I got into my working routine, something will happen.

The weekend after that meeting my little munchkin got down with a case of measles… the GP initially said it was chicken pox and I was kinda freaked out as I never had chicken pox.. risaunyer takut berjangkit… it was 3 days with high fever, then the spots appeared at day 4 and by day 6 my baby is his usual self again. Loud and cheeky. Alhamdulillah…

People said to me baby Daniel being sick is sort of a sign that he will gain new skills. True enough, he started walking, wobbly at first and now, a week later, he walks faster and with more confidence. His hands are still up in the air when he walks though.. stabilizer gitu.. hihi.. I feel like a load has been lifted off my shoulders :D .

The past week was spent with me stressing and working to reach my target and submit my Chapter 2. In between I was researching for cheap tickets/attraction fees in London for my visiting guests. My brain was in such a wrecking stage, that I have sleepless nights and have hormonal issues the entire week. I was going through a zillion things on my list in my brain every night, it was true madness. The physical aspect of the apartment also need preparing for our guests, which proved to be such an overwhelming task.. I am so thankful DH is such a star at helping me in that department. He is a lifesaver… I love you sweetheart :) .

I managed to complete my task on Friday and emailed it to my supervisor. She had kindly reminded me to take a week off & forget about my PhD work (temporarily of course!), enjoy the company of my visiting family and have a fantastic time. She told me to have fun, and come back ready with more spirit. I am greatly thankful for her support.

We left for London on a train yesterday and spent the night at my friend Naza’s house. We had a wonderful time, deeply grateful for her & hubby’s kind hospitality and proceed to Stansted this afternoon. And finally.. the time that we have been waiting for since last November is here… my big brother, sister, MIL, SIL & DH’s tok sedara will be arriving in London Stansted in less than 6 hours! Yay!

My only wish is that my parents and younger brother are coming also… hmm.. another 2 months to go, and we’ll be together again, soon :)
