lazy Sunday

I am having a lazy Sunday, partly due to Afwan Daniel who is recovering but seems to be taking things easy today… and so does Mummy *wink*. DH went on his own to do our weekly groceries shopping yesterday and cooked us a big lunch (big meaning there was plenty leftovers to last us to the next day),  so I am off the kitchen duty today and there isn’t much for left for me to do around the house.

Okay. I am in denial. I have yet to manage the piling heap of laundry that sits patiently  in the corner of my home office. Laundry duty… yay me?

I am so relieved that Daniel’s fever is vanishing… many thanks to all the well wishes and prayers, especially to the free medical advice from our friend Dr Nik, which has DH running to Boots yesterday to get some over the counter medicines for Daniel. He seems to be doing better today and is now having his afternoon nap with Daddy… so that leaves me some time on my Vaio where I get to reconnect with the rest of the world. And obviously, blog. :)

I checked my email and download some pics that my father had sent me recently and got teary eyed when I see the pics of my mother on Mother’s day when my lil bro gave her a lunch treat. On the record, let me just say how proud I am of you Teh, you put a big smile on Mama’s face, I am so happy to see the small yet very meaningful gesture with the lunch treat. Good job, bro!

Spring is in it’s full swing now, and every corner you look you’d be greeted with colourful flowers and the most beautiful, greenest leaves and grass that just relaxes your eyes. I absolutely love gardening, but we live in an apartment so I can’t really do much. I just wish that I have my own garden … to be honest I have been contemplating whether or not just to claim that small piece of garden mine by the carpark next to our apartment. I even thought of planting some flowers at night.. so nobody can see me, tau-tau esok dah ada pokok bunga kat situ.. kira mcm underground laaa kan..hehe. However after weighing all my options, and factoring the possibility of me not being so rajin to water them later on being much longer in school… I decided to settle by having some low-maintenance houseplants, that can be placed high up on my windowsill, away from the curious reach of baby Daniel.

So, a couple of weeks ago we went out and bought some orchids. Yay!

I love the colours, and in their own special way… they make our little apartment much more ‘alive’. I have had them  phalaenopsis orchids in my apartment in Sintok last time, but the hot indoor weather is just not right for them. They wilted and dried up within 5 days. I had to bring them home to SP to be revived by my parents. Poor beauties!

The ones I have now are still flowering beautifully. Hopefully they like it here and continue to bless me with their gorgeous blooms.
