soft. diet.

The inspiration of blogging came and went, as I was too occupied with other household chores, sitting down at my desk proved to be such a luxury these days. My time is filled with cooking, cleaning, and running errands single-handedly. That being said, I am relieved as the boys are at least on the same page when it comes to eating. DH is still in between solid and soft diet, so I had to make sure that there are varieties in what I cook everyday. I am absolutely happy that baby Daniel is eating again… (he first 2 teeth has finally cut through his gums… another 2 coming soon) and he seems to enjoy whatever it is on Daddy’s menu. On Sunday, DH had Beancurds in Oyster Sauce, Monday is Mushroom Soup, Tuesday is Sup Tulang, Wednesday is Chicken Jalfrezi. All meal is accompanied by plain rice porridge.

Part of the recovery plan for tonsillectomy patients are actually eating food that requires a lot of chewing. Toasts are especially ideal and specifically recommended by DH’s doctor. After months of contemplating about whether to get a toaster or not, we finally have a good reason and so yesterday me & baby Daniel went out to get one. DH can have his toast at his convinience (meaning not having to cook them on the pan…lame, I know.. hehe..).

new toaster for DH :)

I also made sure that there is plenty of jellys and pudding for them to snack on in between meals. I have been religiously making this pudding every 3 days eversince DH’s operation. Lucky it is so easy to make, and taste so good with so little effort, I have the portions and the recipe at the back of my mind already. Let’s all forget about dieting for a moment shall we?

  1. the pudding looks delicious!!!!!

  2. Yup it definitely is! It’s similar to puding roti, but instead of roti, guna croissant and mixed together with caramel custard. Recipe courtesy of the domestic goddess, Nigella Lawson.

    Sinfully delicious! Say no more.
