Some who knew me well would have seen that I am most productive when I have more than one things going on in my mind. Which can explain why I have so many hobbies, and seemingly no time to do them at all. Let me see what kind of hobbies that I have ventured (and still love) so far:
- Reading (leisure, not academic obviously.. haha)
- Gardening
- Cross-stitching
- Cooking
- Scrapbooking
- Beading
- Photography
There is also the minor detail of me studying for my PhD (as if that does not take up all of your free time). On top of that I have these strange urges to rearrange furnitures every other month. Oh, I also think I have borderline OCD, where things have to be in perfect order or I would just not function. Not always, but there are such times.
Usually this a good sign, when I have a dozen hobby projects in my mind, coz it means that I am progressing well in my work. But it left me worn and tired at the end of the day, accompanied more than often with a headache.. as a result of my restless mind. Duh.
Last night, while I was up finishing a book on critical writing, I found THIS amazing online bookstore which sells all sorts of books at such cheap prices… and even better, all books purchased are delivered for free! Yay!
I was like a kid at the candy store, eyes opened wide & slightly glistening… except of course, in reality I am the married woman studying for her PhD revelling in the fact I found a bookstore from the comfort of my home study. Nerd.
Hence the issue of me and my hobbies. I might have possibly add another hobby by purchasing this book:
I am currently fighting the urge to buy these books as well, which may cause me to widen my never-ending hobby horizon.
Let’s just say I am gonna ask DH to keep the debit cards some place safe for now, shall we?
